Just when you thought it was safe to open an e-mail from me... I'm
sending this email to request your support for one of my favorite charities, the

     Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

On Monday, August 4th, Toby Trotter of FCA is going to play 100 holes of golf in one

day in the Texas heat! Toby is playing on my behalf and I am working with Toby to

raise money for the Hurst-Euless-Bedford FCA Chapter.

As always, you will never have to worry about begging, whining, or other
pathetic requests for support from me.  If you can help at any level,it is always

appreciated.  Just reply to this e-mail, and I'll send you the pledge form.  No time

to wait for the pledge form?  Click here.

If you can't help, hit the "delete" button. However, your prayers for generous

donors, good weather (we play in any conditions except lightning), and safe golf

on that day will be very much appreciated.

Help Us Impact The Lives of Thousands
of Teens In The Greater Fort Worth Area

By sponsoring a golfer in this year's tournament or by becoming a corporate sponsor,  you'll be making a tremendous difference in the lives of young people.

This year, our goal is $40,000! This allows us to expand and to touch hundreds of more lives.

The monies raised this year will support FCA's campus outreach called "Huddles".  Greater Fort Worth FCA serves 275 secondary schools and currently has Huddles identified with 84 of those 275 schools reaching over 2,700 teenagers on a weekly basis.  FCA Huddles provide:

1. A positive Christian peer group on our local school campuses that builds character, leadership and personal responsibility.  In reality, an FCA campus Huddle is a "positive gang", that allows teenagers to find Biblical answers to the real life issues of their lives such as family relationships, substance abuse, self esteem, etc.

2. "One Way to Play – Drug Free", a program to educate teenagers about drug and alcohol abuse that focuses on Faith, Commitment and Accountability.

3. Resources that strengthen teenagers in their Christian faith such as "Sharing the Victory" magazine, youth oriented study Bibles, Huddle "Playbooks" with Huddle meeting outlines, DVD's with professional and collegiate athletes and coaches sharing their Christian faith, etc.

4. Area-wide rallies and programs for teenagers from different schools to gather to be strengthened and encouraged in the Christian faith.
